The Marsh Ladies Fellowship has been going strong for well over thirty years.
Many past Ministers wives have graced the Presidency, and many members, some no longer with us, have served the fellowship with their loyalty and dedication.
The Fellowship meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday in the month, in the Methodist Chapel. It's membership today, consists mainly of Methodists and Anglicans, along with many from North Somercotes and along the Marsh.
It's main aims are to provide friendship, fellowship and prayer for others both within the local community and outside.
When the Fellowship was formed it always began with a prayer and Hymn and so it is today. Many different speakers come and go, but when planning, effort is made to ensure that at least once a month a devotional meeting of some kind takes place. The Fellowship is linked to The Women's Network of The Methodist Church, and fundraising events take place throughout the year, for BBC Radio Lincolnshire 'Go For Gold', National Childrens' Homes, and many local Charities. Also The Fellowship supports The International Childrens Trust, by paying for an Indian child's education.
We hope that The Fellowship will continue well into the New Millennium. New members are always welcome.
