SOUTH SOMERCOTES PARISH COUNCIL MEETINGS
Thursday 13th November.
Meetings will be held at the Trinity Methodist Chapel Stable room and start at 7.00pm. please note that the public session will be at 7.00pm until 7.15pm where the public are invited to come along to ask any
questions. Please call clerk to check dates prior to the meeting as sometimes meetings may change.

Full Planning received
N/162/02422/08 – Mr Cartwright – Brickyard Fisheries – to vary condition not more than 15 touring caravans shall be kept on site, to allow the land edged red on drwg no GC/400/003 to be used for stationing touring caravans.
N/162/024558/08 – Silver Spirit Wedding Cars – to continue to use former poultry shed for storage of wedding cars.
Phone Box & Post Box
We have received notification from British Telecom that the Phone Box will be retained.
Royal Mail apologise for any inconvenience due to the removal of the old post box which they could not retain until a new one was put in. However they are doing their utmost to put a new box in as speedily as possible.
The New Post Box will be situated next to the Phone Box. Royal Mail have confirmed that if you have mail to be posted you can pass to the local post man who will be happy to take it to the sorting office. If you feel strongly and have any issues please contact the clerk who will pass on your details to Royal Mail so they can talk to you direct. There will be regular updates put on the Village noticeboard.
Sandbags
North Somercotes have a stock of sand and sandbags should anyone wish to have any sandbags please contact the clerk to arrange collection.
